TO GET THERE

FROM MALPENSA AIRPORT (45 km distance):
I suggest the cheepest and more comfortable option is the bus + taxi from Stazione Centrale (+ see further down from Stazione Centrale). Buses are just outside the arrivals door 3 and 4,, while you have to walk 10 minutes to the airport train station. .
Remember to buy tickets at the bus, not before, or you may find out yours is not the first bus leaving: there are 3 companies, each leaving every hour, and every max 20 minutes one of them starts off to Milan.
Taxi: no less than 105 €.
TRAIN: 13€/ticket; you skip traffic jams, but there are some 5-10 minutes walk from the arrivals to the railway station in Malpensa airport (lift to the -1 floor in the middle of the arrivals hall between doors 4 and 5).
to Centrale station it takes about 1 hour. See below from Centrale to the apt: don't take the metro.
to Cadorna station: every 30 min, takes 37 min. From there, underground just outside Cadorna station, take the red line to Porta Venezia stop near the apartment.
BUS: the Malpensa Shuttle , Malpensa Express or Terravision. going to Centrale station (one every 15 minutes or so, 10 € per person one way, ticket on board. Don't buy tickets inside the airport, you cannot know which bus leaves first: ask the driver of each company: one will leave in a few minutes, another after about 15 and another after 30 min. It takes one hour and once you reach Centrale station you can either take a 10 minutes walk or take a taxi which would cost about 7 € to the apartment.

FROM LINATE AIRPORT (8 km distance):
Taxi: 15 to 20 € depending on the traffic. At night time (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) it may cost a few euro more.
NEW UNDERGROUND LINE AT THE AIRPORT: you change in San Babila to take the red line to Porta Venezia stop. Via Castaldi is the first street on your left from corso Buenos Aires when you have Porta Venezia monument behind your back. Number 30 is on the 3rd block, just after crossing via Lecco.

FROM ORIO AL SERIO AIRPORT:
There are buses to Centrale station (10 € / ride).

FROM STAZIONE CENTRALE:
By foot:  from the square in front of the station, take diagonally via Napo Torriani, to the left just after the GLAM* Hotel, go straight and in piazza Cincinnato go left to via San Gregorio, and after two blocks turn to the right in via Lecco. Go past the little church in the middle of the square after crossing viale Tunisia, and stop when via Lecco crosses via Panfilo Castaldi. The rose and ivory building at the corner is #30 of via Castaldi.
Taxi: about 7-10 €.
Tram: n.5 in front of the station, going to the left when you're leaving the station from the main entrance (the front entrance). You step down in viale Tunisia, after 4 stops (5 min), at the corner with corso Buenos Aires, and walk down the corso towards Porta Venezia monument (you see it from there, it is about 100mt away). The second to your right is via Panfilo Castaldi, number 30 is after crossing via Tadino and via Lecco, on the left side.
We suggest you don't take the metro from Centrale station, as the line there is the yellow line, while the one to the apartment is the red one, it would take you much more time to get to the apartment.

FROM STAZIONE GARIBALDI:
Taxi: about 8 - 10 €.
Train: Passante Ferroviario. It is an underground railway line connecting the station to Porta Venezia, near the apartment. You don't need to get out of the station: in the main hall there are stairs, lift and escalators to the lower floor. You go down and on the ceiling you'll see hanging a blue sign to the left, indicating "Milano Porta Garibaldi Passante". You go that way, and at the end of the way, when you'll see the "Trenord" green sign in front of you, you go to the right, where Binario 1 and Binario 2 are indicated: you'll have to have a ticket to go through. You may buy a single fare (1,5 euro) or a daily ticket. There are escalators to go down to the train level, and you may take the first train passing on Binario 1 (you'll see all trains on that platform stop in Porta Venezia at their second stop). When you step out in Porta Venezia, you follow the sign "corso Buenos Aires" to get out as close as possible to the apartment. You'll find yourself at the underground station, but if you need to get up on the street with an escalator, you'll have to walk to the way out of Piazza Oberdan . It's not difficult as it seems, but if you have big suitcases to carry, maybe it's worth to take a taxi, from Garibaldi station, it won't cost much more than 10 €.

FROM LAMPUGNANO parking and bus station:
From Lampugnano, on the red line of the underground line, (line 1), take the underground to Sesto and step off at Porta Venezia( after 13 stops).
Via Castaldi is the first parallel street after the Bastioni (the street running all around the city center, along which the ancient doors of the town were built). Once out of the underground, if you stand looking towards corso Buenos Aires, the shopping street, keeping the Porta Venezia monument at your back, you will find via Castaldi on your left.

FROM THE HIGHWAY:
Take the Palmanova way out from Tangenziale Est, to Milano centro. Palmanova street brings you to via Leoncavallo, then via Andrea Doria to Piazzale Loreto, a large roundabout. Go down corso Buenos Aires, turn to the right in via Casati, then to the left again in via Settala and again left in via P.Castaldi. Before reaching number 30 you will see a paying parking, named Machiavelli, where they ask 30€/24hrs. You can leave it there, since you won’t need the car during your stay in town.
